The objective of Sustainable Livelihood Program is to develop the capacity, opportunities, and productivity of community to reduce their vulnerability to shocks, improve their livelihood initiatives and strengthen their business operations. Only 29% of Pakistanis dwelling in rural areas have access to improves sanitation facilities, as compared to 72% in urban areas. Among the 36 districts of Punjab, Muzaffargarh is ranked 35th lowest district in terms of water & sanitation coverage.
